He was nominated for his personal exhibition Disgrace, which took place at the Pauls Stradiņš Museum of the History of Medicine (28.11.2014 – 18.01.2015). Together with the Prize, the artist also receives a money award of EUR 28 500 (before taxes).

The book is published on the occasion of Miķelis Fišers' solo exhibition Megamatter at the Arsenāls Exhibition Hall of the Latvian National Museum of Art in 2012. The edition gives comprehensive survey on Miķelis Fišers' creative work since 1990s to the present day. Besides impressive studies on the artist's work by Elita Ansone, Inga Šteimane, Artis Svece, there are images of 150 artworks and Miķelis Fišers' biographical data included in the book. Designed by Ingrīda Zābere. Printed in 1000 copies. Available in bookshops of Riga and on fisers.lv.
